1. Purpose of This Document<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This document defines how media (primarily video) is received, named, organized, and prepared<\/strong> within MinistryCentral Europe.<\/p>\n

It exists to ensure that:<\/p>\n

  • Media assets are easy to locate<\/li>\n
  • Courses remain maintainable over time<\/li>\n
  • Editors and coordinators can work efficiently<\/li>\n
  • Platform performance and reliability are preserved<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This document applies to intake and organization<\/strong>, not editing or publication.<\/p>\n

    2. Scope of Media Covered<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    These standards apply to:<\/p>\n

    • Course teaching videos<\/li>\n
    • Instructional or training videos<\/li>\n
    • Supporting video material<\/li>\n
    • Audio recordings (where applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      They do not<\/strong> apply to:<\/p>\n

      • Marketing media<\/li>\n
      • Public-facing promotional content<\/li>\n
      • One-off communications not retained long-term<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        3. Canonical Intake Flow (Overview)<\/strong><\/h2>\n
          \n
        1. Instructor submits media (or recording)<\/li>\n
        2. Instructor Coordinator receives and validates<\/li>\n
        3. Media \/ Video Contributor processes and uploads<\/li>\n
        4. Media is organized and named in Vimeo<\/li>\n
        5. Coordinators and Editors reference media as needed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Instructors never upload media directly to platforms.<\/p>\n

          4. Accepted Media Formats<\/strong><\/h2>\n

          Video<\/strong><\/h3>\n
            \n
          • MP4 (preferred)<\/li>\n
          • MOV (acceptable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Audio<\/strong><\/h3>\n
              \n
            • MP3 (preferred)<\/li>\n
            • WAV (acceptable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Unusual formats should be converted before intake.<\/p>\n

              5. Naming Standards (Non-Negotiable)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

              Consistent naming is critical for long-term maintenance.<\/p>\n

                • Revisions replace prior versions unless otherwise noted<\/li>\n
                • Deprecated media should be flagged, not deleted immediately<\/li>\n

                      Quality thresholds are reasonable, not perfectionist.<\/p>\n
